By signing up your child for classes at FCA, you are partnering with us. We provide science and social studies instruction. While additional curriculum will not need to be purchased by the family, we always encourage exploration of further science ideas at home.
No. Uniforms are not required at this time. However, appropriate school attire should be worn to allow students to be comfortable while standing, sitting, playing, running, climbing, lounging, etc.
All students will need to bring a snack to school each day for the morning break. Lunch is not provided. Our noon pickup provides a perfect opportunity for picnics in the park with other FCA families.
No, the school does not offer transportation.
Freedom Christian Academy meets at the campus of LifePoint Christian Church at 1470 Myrtle Lake Hills Rd, Longwood, Florida. The 10,000 square foot facility provides us with several adequate meeting rooms, as well as a large, shaded field for the student needs.
Yes, FCA is affiliated with LifePoint Christian Church and operates as an extended ministry of the church.
Our goal is to provide an exceptional teaching environment to every student at FCA, therefore the teacher to student ratio will be no more than 12 students per teacher (12:1) in K-2nd Grade and 14 students to 1 teacher (14:1) in 3rd-5th and 16 students to 1 teacher (16:1) in 6th-8th Grade.
While some of our teachers have chosen to continue to renew their certification with the State of Florida, all of our core teachers have completed an education degree at an accredited college or university.
FCA does not offer any organized sporting programs. By eliminating needless homework, parents have the choice to register and place their student in various programs and leagues outside of school.
YES. Freedom Christian Academy is an approved Home Education Instructional Provider. You may pay FCA directly through your EMA portal.

Freedom Christian Academy offers a unique small group structure and flexible learning opportunities that will likely benefit a wide variety of learners. While students who apply may have an IEP in place, FCA will not formally follow previously written plans. However, because all children are unique, we will be happy to meet with parents to look at an IEP to see if FCA can provide services for your child. We have teachers on staff that have ESC certification.
Absolutely yes! Our goal is to provide a variety of learning opportunities on campus and off campus.
