No. Uniforms are not required at this time. However, appropriate school attire should be worn to allow students to be comfortable while standing, sitting, playing, running, climbing, lounging, etc.
All students will need to bring a lunch to school each day.
No, the school does not offer transportation.
While FCA does not offer on-site after school care, after school care programs can pick up kids at the end of the school day. Extreme Youth Sports is an example of this.
Freedom Christian Academy meets at the campus of LifePoint Christian Church at 1470 Myrtle Lake Hills Rd, Longwood, Florida. The 10,000 square foot facility provides us with several adequate meeting rooms, as well as a large, shaded field for the student needs.
Yes, FCA is affiliated with LifePoint Christian Church and operates as an extended ministry of the church.
Our goal is to provide an exceptional teaching environment to every student at FCA, therefore the teacher to student ratio will be no more than 12 students per teacher (12:1).
Yes, the students will have regular opportunities to have short recesses in the morning and afternoon, as well as an extended lunch/recess time each day. We feel this is an important part of the educational process.
Yes! It is our goal that all core teachers have a valid teacher’s certificate.
FCA does not offer any organized sporting programs. By eliminating needless homework, parents have the choice to register and place their student in various programs and leagues outside of school.
Yes, there will be a weekly chapel time that focuses on discipleship and Christian living.
As the need arises, we may begin to offer this option.
FCA does not except any scholarships from the state of Florida, or any other government body. Our desire is to remain completely free of the bureaucratic interference that often accompanies school choice scholarships. As an independent entity, we have the freedom to make educational and spiritual policies that we believe are best for a young Christian student. For this reason, we have intentionally set the tuition to be lower than the average price of other private schools in the area that accept scholarships.
Freedom Christian Academy offers a unique small group structure and flexible learning opportunities that will likely benefit a wide variety of learners. While students who apply may have an IEP in place, FCA will not formally follow previously written plans. However, because all children are unique, we will be happy to meet with parents to look at an IEP to see if FCA can provide services for your child.
Absolutely yes! Our goal is to provide a variety of learning opportunities on campus and off campus. (P.S. The Mud Walk is definitely on the list!)
