Beginning April 15th we will accept applications to join FCA, provided there is space available in the classes.
Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 AM - noon
30 weeks (Aug - May)
By signing up your child for classes at FCA, you are partnering with us. We provide school experiences, Science instruction, and Math enrichment. While additional curriculum will not need to be purchased by the family, we always encourage exploration of further science ideas at home.
No. Uniforms are not required at this time. However, appropriate school attire should be worn to allow students to be comfortable while standing, sitting, playing, running, climbing, lounging, etc.
All students will need to bring a snack to school each day for the morning break. Lunch is not provided. Our noon pickup provides a perfect opportunity for picnics in the park with other FCA families.
No, the school does not offer transportation.
Freedom Christian Academy meets at the campus of LifePoint Christian Church at 1470 Myrtle Lake Hills Rd, Longwood, Florida. The 10,000 square foot facility provides us with several adequate meeting rooms, as well as a large, shaded field for the student needs.
Yes, FCA is affiliated with LifePoint Christian Church and operates as an extended ministry of the church.
Our goal is to provide an exceptional teaching environment to every student at FCA, therefore the teacher to student ratio will be no more than 10 students per teacher (10:1) in 1st-3rd Grade and 14 students to 1 teacher (14:1) in 4th-6th Grade.
While some of our teachers have chosen to continue to renew their certification with the State of Florida, all of our teacher have completed an education degree at a certified college.
FCA does not offer any organized sporting programs. By eliminating needless homework, parents have the choice to register and place their student in various programs and leagues outside of school.
There are some Step Up scholarships that will allow you to use a portion of the monies at Freedom. For more information on this opportunity, click the link below.
FCA is not a private school and does not except other scholarships from the state of Florida, or any other government body. Our desire is to remain completely free of the bureaucratic interference that often accompanies school choice scholarships. As an independent entity, we have the freedom to make educational and spiritual policies that we believe are best for a young Christian student.
Freedom Christian Academy offers a unique small group structure and flexible learning opportunities that will likely benefit a wide variety of learners. While students who apply may have an IEP in place, FCA will not formally follow previously written plans. However, because all children are unique, we will be happy to meet with parents to look at an IEP to see if FCA can provide services for your child. We have teachers on staff that have ESC certification.
Absolutely yes! Our goal is to provide a variety of learning opportunities on campus and off campus. (P.S. The Mud Walk is definitely on the list!)
Yes! We have certified teachers that are able to review your portfolio. Sign up for a meeting!!
